Dr. Downer is a gifted surgeon and he is kind and caring. He performed my cataract surgery 10 years ago. I have always been extremely nearsighted with a prescription of -21 and -20 ( 20/1000 20/800) due to being a micro-preemie baby in the 1960s. My vision now is 20/20 in one eye and 20/30 in another. My surgery has been miraculous for me! Yes sometimes you may have to wait a bit but thid doctor is worth the wait.I had another surgeon, NOT from Clay Eye do my adult strabismus surgery in one eye (BIG mistake). She used permanent sutures which have irritated my eye for the past 5 years! She looked at my eye 4 different times and couldnt or wouldnt resolve the issue!I saw Dr. Downer and in 5 minutes he removed a suture and the irritation was immediately gone! Dr. Downer is amazing and the entire Clay Eye Team is the best. I am very thankful for them!

What an exceptional medical office. First, they are prompt to greet you and get you back to the treatment area. Once there, the well trained staff keep you busy as they provide vision and other tests the Dr will need and then the Dr is there to review and conclude the tests and provide his skilled service. This office truly runs like a well oiled machine. Congratulations and thanks Clay Eye!
