We are traveling for 3 months from CA. I called in on our last Mon morning in Jax, with an ongoing stye issue that just wasnt resolving. Had seen an optometrist who was wonderful 10 days prior, but felt maybe an ophthalmologist was in order. They got me in Tues am with Dr Sorrentino who discovered a possible cyst had developed along with the stye. We were packed leaving for SC right after our visit, so he said I want to help you so Im going to poke it with your permission. GO FOR IT! He got his needle/scalpel poked squeezed got the oil gland oozing good! He ordered RX( which we had sent to SC CVS. Picked it up on our arrival am on the way I hope to being done! I keep applying heat, massage push on the area to keep the gland running, so hopefully the cyst sac wont reform! Anti viral steroid eyedrops for 3 weeks when I return home Oct 10, if not fully resolved will contact my CA ophthalmologist. Cant thank the staff Dr Sorrentino for the great emergency care!!
