Dr. Levine originally saw me to do surgery to straighten my eyes. I was extremely pleased with the outcome as well as very impressed with both Dr. Levine and his staff. They are all very caring and very knowledgeable. I have been back for follow-up visits vis a vis retinal detachment. Again, very thorough. I loved Dr. Downer. First, my vision in my right eye was almost none. He gave me a cornea transplant and the next day my vision was already improving. He is very knowledgeable, shares information easily and is one of very few Ophthalmologists who will do both retinal problems and cataracts at the same time. Otherwise it requires 2 surgeries when he does them in one! Excellent bedside manner and friendly!

His answers to your questions are direct and precise concerning the health of your eyes and his expressions let you know he is just as concerned as you are. To me, that makes him trustworthy.

I think Dr Downer is awesome. He has helped me so much with all my eye problems. He has a great personality and I just sent my daughter to him. I would recommend him highly.
